Park in car park next to bridge over Tawe. Cropss bridge and follow bike track for a while northwards, passing several impressive waterfalls and a shrine dedicated to the miners killed in a recent flooding accident locally. Follow St Illtyd's walk up a steady, steep climb to the radio mast at the top. Interesting ruined industrial buildings half way up and very good vies of the Pontardawe valley throughout. Through the woods, back down the valley to Cilerbebych, which has an interesting Norman church. Through village and down mountainside via one of two paths. On reching valley bottom, rejoins the cycle path on the riverside. Walk would be easier in reverse direction, as the climb would be much gentler.
