Best Walking Routes in Exmoor National Park

Exmoor National Park is a stunning landscape of moorland, woodland, coastline and river valleys, with endless walking and hiking trails to explore.

With over 1000km of footpaths and bridleways, Exmoor is a magical place to discover on foot. Home to more than 3,000 red deer, the National Park is an icon of southern England and home to some of the darkest skies in Europe.

Exmoor is officially Britain’s least-visited National Park, but its beautiful moors, dramatic rocks and broadleaf coastal woodland make it a walker’s paradise. Spanning almost 270 square miles of Somerset and Devon, with no motorways and only two A-roads crossing the Park, Exmoor is a wonderful place to discover real walking solitude.

Some of the UK’s finest long-distance walking routes pass through Exmoor, including the 630-mile South West Coast Path that climbs the equivalent of four times the height of Mount Everest; and the Two Moors Way, a long-distance 102-mile path that links the Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks.
