Hot all the way (20+C). With Richard. A slowish walk with several comfort breaks and a chat break on Hollins Cross... Some new stretches for me: first time at Hope station, first walk along by Peakshole Water, new route from Odin Mine (with several common spotted orchids on display). The climb from Mam Farm to Hollins Cross was more direct than the route I did last October - and consequently a bit of a struggle! But coming down from the top was delightful - I flew down! Lunch was taken at the Old Nags Head where we spent about half an hour talking to an Australian couple who were on their way to Sheffield(!) before adjourning to the beer garden. Just two pints there, then another in The Rambler before the train back - a total of 4 hours for just 3 pints! How different from our previous meet at Bamford...
