Start in car park adjacent to community centre. Initially, flat walk through fields, then sustained steady climb to peak. Passes through a bog on slightly elevated mound, which used to be a rail route for limestone from a quarry near the top. Could combine this with a visit to Burning Rock, which is where they used to turn the limestone into lime and has an impressive chimney still standing. In any event, best to avoid crossing stream, as I did - a bit of a hassle getting back lower down. Very good views throughout. Would be exposed and boggy in the winter months.
