The Watkins route has to be one of the best ways to go up Snowdon. The first part starts by going up though woods and then the path is easy on a well laid stones. It then accents a steep path onto rocks. There is a small plateau of rocks before the last part up steep shale to the top. Although the last part was close to the edge of my comfort zone, and I would not like to come down this part. It is a good way to go up. If you want to take the trial to the right at the weir and follow the trial up past the big boulder to the right, this is easier as it leads up along the ridge.
